Lucknow Girl’s Protest Against Rape In spite of “Padmavat” Said, “Agar Talwaar Uthani Hai Toh Janwaron (Rapist) Ko Marne Ke Liye Uthao”

These days, where Padmavat’s Protest is going on in the country with loud noise, a girl of Lucknow has raised her voice too on social media. Yes, not on the issue of any film, but for the women of our country who are still not ready to go out or we can say are not allowed to roam around out of their home after 6:00 PM, even in 2018. Recently little children crouched on the floor, some clamping their mouth in fear, as a mob protesting against the film “Padmaavat” threw rocks at their school bus in Gurgaon near Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

More than a dozen children of the GD Goenka World School, from nursery to Class 12, were on the bus with teachers and staff, on their way home, around 3 pm. The youngest were heard crying in a mobile phone video that has captured several terrifying moments on the bus. Look what’s happening for just the sake of a film in our country where more than enough issues, social evils and Supreme Court Cases are pending in the society. We are talking about a girl named “Suneha Chauhan” who is trying to turn everyone’s attention to the real issues of the society. She posted a picture on facebook with a message “BAN RAPE” written on a paper she’s holding. Here take a look at the actual post before we continue :

In short she’s trying to convey that if you wanna show your anger and raise your voice with swords in hand. Do it for something that is actually haunting the society. But unfortunately these so called protestors have guts to destroy public property, they have guts to burn a school bus, they got guts to threaten openly that they would behead “Sanjay Leela Bhansali” or “Deepika Padukone” but the bitter truth is they don’t have guts to show this anger and raise their swords against a person who rape and murder our innocent girls, kids and women.

The number of rapes reported each year in Delhi has more than tripled over the last five years, registering an increase of 277% from 572 in 2011 to 2,155 in 2016, according to data released recently by the Delhi Police.

The year after the Nirbhaya incident—in which a 23-year-old paramedical student was raped by a group of men in a moving bus in Delhi on December 16, 2012—saw a 132% spike in the number of cases reported, with a sustained 32% increase thereafter, from 1,636 cases in 2013 to 2,155 in 2016.

Cases pertaining to “assault on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty” (under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code) have increased by 473% from 727 in 2012 to 4,165 in 2016.
